Get together to save our environment
Request for our Environment Committee
According to the wish of H.H. The 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, there is a committee of monks and nuns at Karma Lekshey Ling Monastery that is responsible for deepening our relationship with the planet Earth by protecting and healing the environment. A sincere connection with nature is essential for a healthy life, so one duty of this committee is to keep the property inside and the grounds around our monastery clean. Garbage is disposed of correctly and responsibly once a week, and it costs about 120 USD every month to do this. Furthermore, we do our best to annually clean the area around Swayambhu Stupa, which is situated approx. 3 km from our monastery. Since our environmental committee has no source of income and, if supported, would be able to do more than is presently possible, I wish to request every one who is interested to support them as best as possible. With your help and support, we could do much more and even better work for our environment.
